Tottenham Transfers: Tottenham Hotspur is planning a significant summer transfer window to strengthen their squad under manager Ange Postecoglou. Despite a strong start to the season, the team has faced setbacks due to injuries to key players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison. Currently, they sit fifth in the Premier League, but there is a possibility they could still secure a top-four finish and qualify for the Champions League.

Postecoglou’s side is seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, but if they win their two games in hand, they will narrow this gap to just a single point. Tottenham officials believe Postecoglou is the ideal manager for their long-term project of competing for future titles. He is known for his exceptional man-management skills, has revitalized the fanbase’s enthusiasm for the players, and implements an exciting brand of football.

According to reports, Tottenham is aiming for a blockbuster summer by providing Postecoglou with the necessary tools to launch a full title challenge next season. The club is reportedly interested in signing three top players, including Conor Gallagher from Chelsea and Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord.

Gallagher, who is set to have his contract expire in 2025, is a favorite of Postecoglou’s and is seen as a perfect fit for the team’s style of play. Chelsea has previously valued Gallagher at £60 million, but Tottenham could potentially sign him for a reduced fee of £30-40 million due to Chelsea’s weakened negotiating position.

Tottenham is also eyeing a new centre-forward to provide competition for Richarlison. The club has been linked with several strikers, but their top target is Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez. Spurs scouts have been impressed by Gimenez’s numbers, with 24 goals in 40 games this season. Although the step up from the Eredivisie to the Premier League might be challenging, Gimenez appears to possess the attributes needed to become an elite striker at the top level.

Initially, Feyenoord demanded £80 million for Gimenez, but Tottenham is more likely to sign him for around £50 million. The third area Tottenham wants to strengthen is central defense, particularly the left side. In January, Radu Dragusin joined from Genoa to provide backup for Cristian Romero. However, the team has struggled when Micky van de Ven has been unavailable for selection.

To address this issue, Tottenham is looking to sign Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth, who has impressed in recent seasons. Kelly’s addition would provide a reliable backup for Romero and help stabilize the team’s defense.
