Hardik Pandya’s performance has been under scrutiny throughout the ongoing IPL 2024, with doubts looming over his capabilities with both bat and ball.

Skipping bowling duties in several matches fueled discussions about his fitness and potential inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad. His bowling this season has been particularly concerning, conceding over 11 runs per over with a disappointing strike rate.

However, in the recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Pandya turned the tables with a stellar bowling display. Entering the attack after the powerplay, he initially faced some aggression, conceding four boundaries in his first 12 balls. Yet, he quickly regrouped, dismissing Nitish Reddy with a well-placed short delivery, and later removing Shahbaz Ahmed and Marco Jansen in his final over.

Even the cricket expert, Sanjay Manjrekar, praised his bowling and said  “This is the best of Hardik’s bowling that we have seen.”
