Cristiano Ronaldo’s team is paying close attention to Bruno Fernandes’s decisions about his future. Ronaldo, who joined the Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr last January, might have recommended some players to his club, possibly including his former teammate Fernandes.

Dreams destroyed for Cristiano Ronaldo

However, according to an ESPN report from Friday, Fernandes seems determined to stay at Manchester United. Despite a tough season, he wants his goals to align with the club’s ambitions.

Manchester United finished at their lowest-ever position in the Premier League. To qualify for the European Cup, they need to beat Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley.

In an article for The Players’ Tribune, Fernandes expressed that playing for Manchester United has always been his dream. However, he now needs to know that the club’s owners can meet his aspirations as a player.

“Any fan will tell you the same thing. We want to compete for the league and play Champions League football. That’s the standard. That’s what I want and what the fans deserve.”

“I want to keep fighting and stay here. My family wants to be here too.”

Fernandes had previously mentioned that he would think about his future at Old Trafford after the summer’s European Championship. Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s team, has been interested in him.

“It’s my responsibility to improve after a challenging season. Tomorrow, it begins with me,” Fernandes said. “We need to give everything in our final match against City and keep moving forward.”
