Dinesh Karthik has officially retired from both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and international cricket. His final game was for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Karthik, known for his skill in finishing games, aimed to help RCB reach Qualifier 2 but ended his career after this match.
Over his impressive 17-year career, Karthik played in every IPL season from 2008 to 2024 and was part of six different teams. With 257 IPL matches, he has the second-highest number of appearances in the league’s history.
