Germany’s Bayern Munich encountered a setback as left-back Raphaël Guerreiro sustained an early injury during their Bundesliga match against Stuttgart on Saturday. The Portuguese international had to leave the field in the 17th minute due to what appeared to be a muscular issue, casting doubt over his availability for the upcoming crucial Champions League semifinal clash against Real Madrid.

Bayern’s head coach, Thomas Tuchel, opted for significant changes in the lineup, making six alterations from their previous encounter with Madrid. Guerreiro was among the starters, impressing in the first leg despite coming on at halftime. However, his unfortunate injury now poses a challenge for the team.

In Tuchel’s reshuffled lineup, Alphonso Davies, Aleksander Pavlovic, Serge Gnabry, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and Mathys Tel were given starting roles, replacing the likes of Noussair Mazraoui, Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Müller, and Leroy Sané, who all found themselves on the bench. Jamal Musiala was notably absent from the squad altogether.
